LG TEAM GENIUS - LG EXPERIENCE 2

In the moment of VH1's Hip Hop Honors being about female rappers, Philly's own LG (Lyrical Genius) sets the stage high with a series of singles to bring it home for the ladies. For more than 3 decades, Philly’s Hip Hop scene has been everywhere with the start of the female rapper and radio personality Lady B setting things off in 79, then came Schooly D with his gangsta flow, and the Fresh Prince giving Philly a Grammy. Fast forward a little and you would then hear the style and feel of The Roots along with an East Coast takeover of Roc-A-Fella’s State Property. Now -a-days you may get a feel and continuing movement from Meek Mills but from the female side of Hip Hop it’s been “DEAD”. However, the new lyricist/songwriter, “LG”, (Lyrical Genius) has been hitting the underground with some bars, appearances and epic freestyles that is now coming to the forefront of Philly Hip Hop. LG got started when was practicing her rapping from as early as 5, when her mother gave her lyrics to recite for a family reunion. Years later her buzz starting growing in college at ESU. She had a scholarship for playing ball but her heart was in music. While earning her degree in media communication & tech she spent time in her dorm room making music on her laptop. After linking with ListenToTheDJ.com she got the opportunity to showcase her bars in a legendary freestyle with Ghostface, Sheek Louch, Saigon, Killah Priest & Nature after opening for their WuBlock Concert in 2012. Today in Hip Hop a female artist has to work harder than anyone which was shown and spoken on during VH1’s Hip Hop Honors to female Rappers. The return from a six-year hiatus was huge, for females. “I feel as though VH1’s Hip Hop Honors was an amazing showcase of how the female artist have paved the way and changed the game single handedly. I also believe it has been something we all have been waiting to see and needed at this time in Hip Hop. It inspired the artist who may have been easily discouraged by the new style Hip Hop and made them realize being different is a blessing, not a curse”. - LG Now LG is setting the Philly bar high by setting up new releases that will showcase her style, flow and movement. You can catch up on music and co-sign plugs from your favorite Rappers, Rapper before her next single release coming at the end of July on her soundcloud.com and youtube.com channels. Her latest release of CITM will give you a glimpse of what is to come. Visit LG's website: www.TeamGeniusUniversity.com Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/lg-teamgenius
